Wanted to change my journal because I've already finished uploading that last comic.
I've got some free time now, so I'm finally pointing myself back at this short comic I was working on that is set in the actual Wolf Country setting (for the first time in years).
It's about cars and lizards and healing powers. Working on it is mostly me trying to figure out transitioning from Photoshop & SAI to Clip Studio Paint Pro.
I find that it's a lot easier for me to work on comics when watching videos of other people working on art, so right now my thing to watch is Urasawa Naoki's Manben Manga Documentary
with English subtitles.
It's pretty good. The mangaka interviewed work mostly traditionally, which I do not, but I am finding that a lot of things discussed still apply to digital work.
I don't know if watching subtitled videos actually stops me from being distracted, but I ended up being inspired enough to draft three pages I was stuck on in a single evening, so I'd call that a win.
