Cat Character Design Doodles

I was drawing cats for a game project and ended up getting distracted (a little ) trying to do card suit-themed cat character designs to brush up on how to draw cats.

I wanted to try getting the motif in through shape body shape elements and avoid cheating by using the coat markings (another way to say "I have an excuse for not coloring anything again").

 I tried looking for some good concept art for inspiration, but it's surprisingly hard to find character art of cats that are pushed very far in terms of shape. By that, I mean most art I found settled on using the naturally strongest shapes for a cat (circles or triangles and etc.) as opposed to imposing their own shapes. I ended up settling on basic cat body types while tweaking minor elements.
