I TOLD YOU I'D DO IT! I TOLD YOU!
MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAVE A DEAD GUY.
This is the artists commentary box, for artist commentary.
Hopefully, people who are starting out comics who look at this and go "Hey, I can do way better!" will go out and follow their dreams and make me proud.
This was actually one of the later pages I drew. I put it off for a long time because I found drawing backgrounds too intimidating. When I started out on The Rutherford Case I decided to draw the whole thing digitally on Photoshop CS2, which included sketching and drafting panels, and it went like that for about 20 pages until the final year when I actually buckled down and finished the thing and kicked younger me into space for having bad ideas.
Because I already had the whole thing scripted out, I could bounce back and forth between the pages I liked to draw, to keep myself from getting bored. Consequently, the pages are not drawn chronologically and the art quality sort of fluctuates depending on how much energy and experience I had when I was working on it.
